The Asia Group is now accepting applications for a Finance Manager based in either New Delhi or Mumbai to join our fast-growing India team. The employee will primarily support the firm’s Finance portfolio.

TAG-India is looking for a highly motivated and skilled finance and accounting professional to serve as a Finance Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the entire finance and accounting function of the company’s India subsidiary, ensuring the smooth working of financial processes, policies, reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and enforcing Accounting/Finance compliance procedures.
  • Managing cash flows and F&P analysis of the India office subsidiary.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Ensuring compliance with all client invoicing/billing requirements
  • Overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Overseeing payroll management including payroll calculation, disbursement, creation of salary slips, TDS calculation, PF compliance etc.
  • Preparing sales invoices, tracking of receipts and following up with customers for payments
  • Overseeing management of GST related data, including reconciliation of input tax credit (ITC), GST payments, filing of GST returns, reconciliation of GST returns with books of accounts etc.
  • Ensuring TDS deduction and payment, filing of quarterly returns, and downloading of form 16 and 16A
  • Generating daily reports to monitor accuracy and timeliness of billing and past-due collections.
  • Ensuring staff accurately completes billing milestones and updates case management systems.
  • Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of firm financial records, reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly MIS, quarterly financial statements, cash flow statements etc. as may be needed for budgeting and review 
  • Leading co-ordination with statutory auditors for annual audit facilitation 
  • Managing internal controls
  • Ensuring firm compliance with client audit requirements

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • The nature of this position requires a team player with strong communication skills, deep integrity and a positive attitude.
  • At least five years’ experience in finance and administration, preferably with a for profit company
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
  • Self-starting and comfortable working remotely in virtual work environment with a worldwide team
  • Confident in working with and coordinating outside consultants supporting the finance function
  • Ability to be flexible, detail oriented and able to prioritize.

Desired Focus and Expertise:

  • Past experience working with cross-functional and global teams desired
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting a plus
