Emma Hamilton


Emma Hamilton is an Associate at The Asia Group, where she advises defense and aerospace clientele on regional geopolitics.

Prior to joining The Asia Group, Emma worked at the National Security Institute as a Policy Program Coordinator, where she led the organization’s congressional outreach and China programmatic initiatives.

Emma previously served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy, where she managed the United States’ bilateral defense relationships with Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Island Countries and Antarctica, specifically pertaining to U.S. force posture, bilateral planning, and security cooperation for the Oceania region. Emma conducted several high level bilateral and multilateral engagements with foreign counterparts to include quarterly Five Eyes Defense Ministerial Meetings, the annual Australia–U.S. Ministerial, and the U.S.–New Zealand Defense Policy Dialogue.

Previously, she served at the Department as the Special Assistant to the White House Liaison where she advised leadership on personnel decisions and coordinated the hiring process for political appointments. Emma began her career in public service at the U.S. House of Representatives, where she served as the Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant for the personal office of Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks (IN-05).

Emma graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
