Groslyn Burton

Vice President, Values, and Culture & Executive Assistant to the Chairman

Groslyn Burton serves as Vice President, Values and Culture, and Executive Assistant to the Chairman, offering a broad range of executive level administrative and advisory support. Groslyn joins The Asia Group after over 20 years of service in government, intelligence, national security, and the private sector.

Prior to joining The Asia Group, Groslyn served as the Special Assistant to the Assistant to the President for International Economics at The White House. In this capacity, she supported the President’s Sherpa for the G8 & G20 Summits and the Deputy National Security Advisory for International Economics and gained firsthand knowledge in a broad range of policy matters, including international relations, energy, trade, food security, environment, export control, and development. Groslyn worked closely with her counterparts at numerous federal agencies throughout her time at The White House, particularly with those at the Departments of State, Treasury, Energy, Interior, USAID, as well as the Congress and major corporations.

Groslyn has also worked as an Executive Assistant to the General Counsel at TASC, Inc. She provided support in the areas of Corporate Development to the Chief Strategy Officer and the Strategic Capabilities Group.  She has also served as Special Assistant to the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Operations Coordination Center at the Defense Intelligence Agency. She served a rotational assignment at Southern Command Military Base (SOUTHCOM) in Miami, FL, where she supported the Chief of Defense Forward Element and gained extensive knowledge of military on-the-ground support efforts, with a focus on intelligence planning and human intelligence.

Groslyn is a recipient of several awards and distinctions for her service in government. She holds certifications in Six Sigma (Green Belt), Advanced Protocol, Searchlight Leadership Course (6-weeks), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Intelligence Planners Course, How to Lead: The Professional Administrative Assistant, Budget for the Administrative Professional, Division Security Officer Rep, and Unit Training Manager (Gov’t/Military).

Groslyn is an avid community volunteer. She is married to John and they have one son, Keon.
