Henry Kerins

Vice President

Henry Kerins is a Vice President at The Asia Group Capital Advisory Partners, a sister firm to The Asia Group focused on originating and executing cross-border M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and private capital raises. Henry is responsible for leading the firm’s Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) capital advisory practice and is based out of Hong Kong. After spending most of his life living and working in Asia, Henry contributes not only a wealth of experience and expertise on China’s financial markets, but also a keen understanding of the constantly evolving trends in regional capital flows.

Prior to joining The Asia Group Capital Advisory Partners, Henry was a member of the China Markets Research and Strategy team at J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong. Covering a range of asset classes and industries, Henry advised some of J.P. Morgan’s most prominent clients on how to invest in China’s public and private markets, including multi-national corporations, sovereign wealth funds, and the world’s largest asset managers. At J.P. Morgan, Henry authored several China-centric research reports analyzing key political and economic issues, including RMB internationalization, agriculture and healthcare reforms, political leadership developments, and economic reforms. Henry was also responsible for engaging and maintaining relationships with Chinese state-owned enterprises and policy agencies, as well as key think tanks and academic institutions.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, Henry served as a television anchor for Hong Kong Satellite Television (HKSTV) during which he was one of the original news anchors for “East Meets West”, HKSTV’s 24-hour Mandarin speaking satellite television network broadcast throughout Asia. Prior to his work with HKSTV, Henry held leading roles on multiple television and film projects, including as an actor for an educational television series with Beijing Television.

Henry completed his undergraduate studies at the Beijing Institute of Technology, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Automation. He commands native-level oral and written fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
