Special Assistant to the President & Managing Partner
Kayla Gubov serves as Special Assistant to the President and the Managing Partner at The Asia Group. In this capacity, she provides a broad range of administrative, substantive, and logistical support to the firm’s senior leadership.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Kayla worked at political consultancy Baron Public Affairs, LLC as executive assistant to the Principal. Additionally, she served on Baron’s business development team helping conduct market research and build relationships with Fortune 500 companies looking to develop political risk strategies. Kayla previously worked as an Associate at Plutus Nonprofit Solutions, LLC where she helped nonprofits utilize Salesforce to fundraise and manage programming. Kayla worked for Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a First Amendment nonprofit.
Kayla also brings public sector experience, having worked for the Office of National Drug Control Policy at the White House to support efforts combatting the opioid crisis. Kayla was a research fellow for multiple think tanks focused on the Middle East and international affairs.
In recognition of her leadership and commitment to international affairs, Kayla has been awarded multiple fellowships, most recently as an Atlas Corps Leadership Program Fellow and also as a Foreign Policy Leadership Development Fellow at The John Quincy Adams Society. As part of her Atlas Corps Leadership Program, Kayla works with a global cohort to implement the U.N. Sustainability Goals. Kayla is also a board member of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) Washington, DC. Previously as an AJC Fellow, Kayla led an excursion to Germany where she represented the organization in high-level Parliamentary meetings.
Kayla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Political Science from Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.
