Morgane Fiere


Morgane Fiere is an Associate at The Asia Group where she helps the firm’s defense and aerospace clients navigate geopolitical and regional dynamics across the Indo-Pacific.

Prior to joining The Asia Group, Morgane served as a researcher at The Project 2049 Institute with a focus on cross-Strait relations and U.S. security and defense policy toward Taiwan. Morgane previously worked as a Research Assistant for the Program on Extremism at George Washington University, covering issues on gender, violent extremism, and radicalization.

Morgane’s professional experience spans Europe and Asia. While working at a London-based news agency, Morgane coordinated cross-sector, multilingual television broadcast teams to cover breaking news stories across Europe. She also led sales and customer relations efforts at a major Arabic-language bookstore in Paris and a local bar in Taipei.

In October 2021, Morgane was selected to join the National Bureau of Asian Research’s U.S.-ROK Next Generation Leaders Program alongside a delegation of nine rising Asia policy professionals. Alongside her work at The Asia Group, Morgane is committed to enhancing the Asian American community and volunteers as Cultural Identity Chair with the DC chapter of the Taiwanese American Professionals Association.

Morgane commands native fluency in French and is also proficient in Mandarin and Arabic. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London and a master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where she focused on transatlantic security and defense cooperation. Morgane also pursued intensive Mandarin Chinese learning at the Beijing Foreign Studies University and spent a year studying Middle East politics at the University of Jordan.
