Alec Blivas is an Associate at The Asia Group where he helps the firm’s aerospace and defense clients navigate geopolitical and security dynamics in the Indo-Pacific.
Prior to joining the Asia Group, Alec worked as an Analyst with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Defense Innovation Unit. He was previously a Program Coordinator in the International Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where he helped support the operational and substantive goals of the International Security Program while contributing to its broad research agenda. He has also served as a Research Assistant on the Security and Foreign Affairs team at the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, where he focused on Chinese defense policy and military strategy.
He holds an MA in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
