Drake is an Analyst with The Asia Group's Southeast Asia practice, where he focuses on supporting clients navigating the region's political, economic, and regulatory systems across a broad range of sectors including energy, manufacturing, and technology.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Drake was a graduate student at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, where he graduated with an MA in International Economics and Southeast Asian Studies in May 2022. During his graduate studies, Drake worked as a researcher in the Southeast Asia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and as an editor for the SAIS review.
Before attending graduate school, Drake worked as an analyst for advertising conglomerate WPP, where he advised companies in the automotive, pharmaceutical, and consumer products industries on their addressable television strategy.
Drake holds a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College where he was a Davis Scholar and Kahane United Nations Program participant.
