Vice President

Kevin Bassney is a Vice President in The Asia Group’s Australia practice, where he advises clients on navigating Australia’s regulatory and political environments to secure commercial objectives. An experienced business consultant, Kevin brings expertise across strategic advisory, private equity, and technology.

Before joining TAG, Kevin was Chief of Staff at People.ai, where he led the startup’s strategic partnership development. Prior to that, Kevin was a Senior Director at Rice, Hadley, Gates, and Manuel, where he advised Fortune 500 clients on navigating complex geopolitical, regulatory, and commercial engagements across the Indo-Pacific, Europe, and other regional markets. Additionally, Kevin worked at Morgan Stanley as a post MBA Associate where he focused on investing opportunities in the Indo-Pacific and American markets.

A graduate of U.S. Army Ranger School, Kevin served as an infantry officer for nearly five years in a variety of leadership positions, culminating with serving on the strategy and policy staff for one of the Army’s top commanders.

Kevin graduated from Cornell University in 2013 on an ROTC scholarship. He is an alumnus of Tsinghua University in Beijing, graduating from the Schwarzman Scholars Program in 2018. He is also a Fulbright Scholar and received a Masters in Law from the University of Belgrade.
