Melissa Ho is a Senior Associate at The Asia Group (TAG), based in TAG Hong Kong Office. Melissa brings her extensive experience in economic diplomacy, research, and investment to TAG. She advises global clients on navigating emerging economic trends, business environment, and regulatory issues.

Prior to joining TAG, Melissa was an Economic Specialist in the U.S. Consulate General in Hong Kong, where she monitored and analyzed major local and regional economic activities and trends across a broad range of topics and sectors, including international trade, aviation and maritime, science and technology, and intellectual property. In this role, Melissa also helped to track U.S. policy moves and translate such fast-changing developments into economic implications to Hong Kong and the broader Greater Bay Area region.

Earlier in her career, Melissa was an Economist at the quasi-government Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), researching on bilateral trade relations and market developments in Asia and the Middle East. Melissa started her first job as an investment analyst with an Asia-focused hedge fund.

Melissa graduated with distinction with Master of International and Public Affairs from The University of Hong Kong. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with first-class honors majored in Finance. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. Melissa is a dog lover and enjoys making time for fitness and nature.
