Eriko Stronach is an Associate Vice President at The Asia Group. Based in Tokyo, Eriko helps clients navigate Japan’s complex regulatory and policy landscape and provides insightful analysis on geocommercial and market trends in key industries in Japan with a focus on advanced and emerging technologies.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Eriko worked in Tokyo at BowerGroupAsia and at the Eurasia Group, where she played a key role in delivering information and analysis to both Japanese and overseas clients. Eriko previously worked as a Diplomatic Assistant in the Economic Section of the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C., where she supported key economic diplomacy initiatives.
Eriko holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, with a focus on security in the Asia-Pacific, and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Eriko began her career teaching in Ehime Prefecture for the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. In her spare time, Eriko volunteers at the U.S.-Japan Council (USJC) and plans her next hiking adventures across Japan. Eriko is fluent in Japanese and English.
