Ananya Anand Sahni is an Associate at The Asia Group, where she supports the firm’s South Asia practice with a focus on manufacturing and supply chains. In her role, Ananya works closely with clients navigating industrial policy, investment strategy, and regional dynamics across Asia, with a focus on supply chain resilience and cross-border facilitation.
Before joining The Asia Group, Ananya was a Manager and Investment Specialist at Invest India, the national investment promotion and facilitation agency under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. She led strategic investor engagements across the United States, Russia, and Central Asia in a range of manufacturing sectors, including chemicals, automobiles, defence and aerospace, food and allied segments, and electronics. Her role also included supporting key bilateral economic mechanisms and government-to-government initiatives.
Ananya’s previous experience includes working with global non-profits like TalentNomics Inc. and Vital Voices Global Partnership in Washington D.C., where she contributed to international leadership initiatives and gender equity campaigns. She has also worked in Shanghai’s startup ecosystem to build investor networks and promote cross-border entrepreneurship programs focused on technology and innovation.
Ananya holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Global Business, with a Minor in Economics, from the University of Southern California, where she was a Sylas and Rose Marx Meyer Scholarship recipient and a Global East Asia Scholar (Japan). Ananya is an avid reader, and also passionate about travel and fitness. She is deeply committed to community engagement, actively supporting and volunteering for initiatives on animal welfare and social equity for underserved populations.
