Satya Sahu

Associate

Satya Sahu is an Associate with The Asia Group’s New Delhi office. He supports the firm’s South Asia practice and brings expertise in research and policy analysis at the intersection of geopolitics, AI, and emerging technology governance.

Previously, Satya was part of the High-Tech Geopolitics research team at the Takshashila Institution in Bangalore. His research focused on the geopolitics of semiconductors, compute hardware, AI governance, and emerging technologies. He curated the team’s flagship newsletter, Technopolitik and contributed to collaborative research with Takshashila’s Indo-Pacific and Advanced Military Technologies teams, writing on topics such as China’s semiconductor capabilities and military AI.

Most recently, Satya led India-side research for an inaugural Australia-India Maitri grant project on strategic collaboration opportunities between both countries in semiconductor supply chains. These experiences deepened his knowledge of the complex value chains involved in emerging technologies.

Satya graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, finishing with an exchange semester at the South Korean National Police University. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Technology Policy from the Takshashila Institution. A dangerously enthusiastic home cook, cat-dad, and PC tinkering enthusiast, Satya occasionally dabbles in Jeet Kun Do, explores YouTube video essays on obscure topics, and enjoys travelling.
