Agastya Bhatia is an Analyst at The Asia Group’s South Asia practice, based in New Delhi. He supports the firm’s clients across a wide range of sectors on research, regulatory analysis, market entry, and business due diligence. He also works closely with TAG leadership on firm-wide strategy and business development.
Prior to joining TAG, Agastya served as Corporate Affairs Lead for South Asia at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he drove fundraising and client relations for the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC). He also served as executive assistant to the division’s Senior Vice President, staffing high-level engagements with government and business leaders across the U.S. and India. In these roles, he supported major South Asia-focused initiatives including the U.S.-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) and the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X).
Agastya received his B.S. in Economics and International Affairs from the George Washington University, where his research focused on trade and defense issues in the Indo-Pacific. Before moving to the United States for college, Agastya grew up in India and Malaysia. He writes a food blog in his free time and is an avid fitness enthusiast.
