Mehulika Sitepu is a Senior Associate at The Asia Group’s Southeast Asia practice, where she supports clients navigating the region’s complex political and regulatory environments to build business strategies across a variety of sectors, including banking and finance, hospitality, manufacturing, and technology.
With almost a decade’s experience as a journalist in Indonesia, including three years in a senior role at BBC News, Mehu has a strong knowledge of Southeast Asia and a far-reaching network of contacts. She interviewed high-level figures, including the Indonesian president, ministers and business leaders. She maintained close relations with Indonesian and foreign firms during her three years as a member of the executive committee of the Jakarta Foreign Correspondents’ Club.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Mehu earned a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Indonesia’s School of Business. Bilingual in Indonesian and English, Mehu first developed her interest in English from watching Seinfeld and listening to 90s Britpop bands.
