Sharon H. Yuan to Join the Biden-Harris Administration

Washington, DC – The Asia Group is pleased to announce that Sharon H. Yuan, President and General Counsel of The Asia Group, will be joining the Biden-Harris Administration as Counselor to Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and the Commerce Department’s chief negotiator for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework. At this critical time for U.S. engagement in the Indo-Pacific, we commend Sharon’s decision to support the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to advance an ambitious and broad-ranging trade and economic vision for the region.

“Sharon has been a vital component of The Asia Group’s growth and success over the last seven years, and it’s been a true privilege to work with her. During a consequential time for U.S.-China relations, The Asia Group has built an industry-leading China practice helping U.S. companies navigate an increasingly complex set of dynamics,” said Nirav Patel, CEO and Co-Founder of The Asia Group. “The Asia Group is excited to build on that foundation of excellence as we continue to grow across the region and add new talent and cutting-edge capabilities – including through our new Shanghai office led by China Country Head Han Lin.”

Over the past nine years, The Asia Group’s team of nearly 70 professionals has successfully built the premier business and strategic advisory firm focused on helping companies seize opportunities and overcome challenges in the Indo-Pacific region. The Asia Group has offices in Washington, DC, New Delhi, Hanoi and Shanghai (2022), and presence and partnerships across the region.
