Arthur Sinodinos AO, explained in an interview with The Saturday Paper his experience negotiating with the first Trump administration as Australian Ambassador to the United States and Australia’s position during the second Trump administration stating, “So on economics and trade, it is business is business, as far as Trump is concerned, whether you’re an ally or a potential adversary. Depending on how much he believes that America is being shortchanged in the particular relationship. He will take action. I don’t think we’re going to escape the effects of that either directly or indirectly.”
