Abhiram (Abhi) Reddy is a Senior Associate in the Digital and Greater China Practices at The Asia Group. Abhi advises clients on AI policy, data governance, digital economy, semiconductor, and emerging technology issues in China and across the Indo-Pacific.
Prior to joining TAG, Abhi was an AI Safety and Security Research Assistant at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET), where he researched AI-generated influence operations, risk management frameworks, and global AI policy developments. He has also supported science and technology policy teams at the U.S. Department of State and the Albright Stonebridge Group. Earlier in his career, Abhi worked as a Senior Digital Strategist for U.S. Senate campaigns and international nonprofits at MissionWired.
Abhi holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he concentrated in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. His master’s oral exam focused on policy approaches to governing the convergence of artificial intelligence and synthetic biology. He earned a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California (USC). While at USC, Abhi also spent a semester at East China Normal University in Shanghai. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and searching for the best hot pot in DC.
