Ananay began his career with a role in risk management and technology consulting at Willis Towers Watson, wherein he was involved in creating risk models to safeguard large-scale financial portfolios. This foundational experience equipped him with a robust analytical skillset.
Subsequently, Ananay worked as a Research Analyst for a major Indian political party, utilizing his research skills to translate complex data into actionable strategies for key legislative stakeholders. This role provided him with a nuanced understanding of policy development and the strategic communication necessary to influence public policy effectively.
Ananay then served as Research Lead at Ashoka University’s Trivedi Centre for Political Data. He led projects that blended technology with political data analysis to support public policymaking, with his efforts helping ease the accessibility of electoral data to a broader academic and governmental audience. His work led to several publications with mainstream media channels, and multiple citations in prestigious academic journals within the subjects of Economics and Political Science.
Ananay holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, a Master of Research (Economics) from Sciences Po Paris, and a B.Sc. with Honors (Mathematics) from Delhi University. He is fluent in English and Hindi. In his spare time, Ananay enjoys playing tennis and the piano, activities that offer him physical and creative engagements apart from his professional interests.
