Anna Van Hollen is a Senior Advisor at The Asia Group in Washington, D.C. with over a decade of experience in foreign affairs, technology, and economic policy.
Anna most recently served in the Biden-Harris Administration as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State. Prior to that, she served as a Director for International Economics at the U.S. National Security Council and the National Economic Council and as an International Affairs Fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations. Before entering government, Anna built and led the Policy Planning team at Meta, which served as the Global Policy team’s primary geostrategic function. Earlier in her career, she held several Chief of Staff roles at Meta and worked as a freelance journalist in the Middle East with the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.
Anna holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Davidson College, where she was a Belk and Smith Scholar.
