Arabella Walley is an Associate with The Asia Group’s South Asia practice, where she leverages her understanding of foreign policy, technology, and energy to provide strategic research, analysis, and client support. Drawing on her experiences in public service, Arabella is passionate about delivering thoughtful, research-driven insights to help navigate India’s dynamic policy and market landscape.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Arabella was a John Gardner Public Service Fellow at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Asylum Seeker Operations, where she contributed to the agency’s federal advocacy and strategic planning. In this role, she authored a comprehensive report on the city’s response to the arrival of 250,000 asylum seekers, identifying best practices and lessons to guide future policy and operations. She also previously worked for the U.S. Department of State, where she assisted staff at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in preparing for Fifth Committee budget negotiations.
Arabella graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in International Relations, a minor in human rights, and interdisciplinary honors in Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. She speaks German and Spanish fluently, and was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. In her free time, she enjoys learning languages, rock climbing, surfing, and running.
