Arpitha Desai is a Senior Associate for South Asia at The Asia Group. Arpitha brings extensive experience in helping clients navigate the complex legal and policy landscape of emerging technologies in India.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Arpitha worked within the international policy team at Coinbase Inc., where she drove the company’s policy efforts across emerging markets including India, Singapore, Brazil, and the UAE. Her previous experience as a corporate lawyer includes assisting technology, media, and telecommunications companies with legal, policy, and regulatory advisory.
Previously, Arpitha served as a legislative aide to a prominent Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, where she made valuable contributions to legislative research, drafting, and strategy.
Arpitha holds a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy from The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Her graduate work focused on international business regulation, technology policy, and geopolitics. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Law at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, and is qualified to practice law in India.
Born in India, Arpitha was raised in Melbourne, Bangalore, and Pune. She is proficient in Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi, and enjoys pop culture trivia, puzzles, and swimming.
