Belma Ambrose is a managing principal at The Asia Group, where she supports the firm’s global growth strategy, with a focus on expanding its European footprint and global convenings and events offering. Based in Washington, D.C., she advises multinational companies on the intersection of geopolitics, policy, reputation, and commercial strategy. She works with clients to develop high-level engagement strategies around major global forums, including the World Economic Forum, U.N. General Assembly, and IMF and World Bank Meetings, along with white-label events and thought leadership.
Drawing on more than a decade of experience, Belma has worked with Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and high-growth companies across sectors including technology, financial services, energy, industrials, and consumer goods. Her work has also included advising Asian companies on their approach to Europe, as well as supporting clients operating across South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining TAG, Belma served as Managing Director at Global Counsel, a British strategic advisory firm, where she was a member of the firm’s executive committee. Based first in London and later in Washington, she advised multinational clients navigating E.U. and U.K. trade, sustainability, and regulatory policy, as well as broader geopolitical and reputational challenges. She helped shape the firm’s global commercial strategy and worked across offices on business development, marketing, and major convenings, with experience spanning coalition-building, stakeholder engagement, and narrative development. She also helped establish dialogues connecting business and policymakers, including the E.U.-India Prabodhan Conclave.
Belma holds degrees in International Trade and Investment Policy and International Relations from George Washington University. A dual U.S.-U.K. citizen with Albanian roots, she has lived and worked in the United States, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and China. She now lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two sons, where, if they are not shuttling between kids’ soccer games, they are taking the family’s birthright support for Liverpool F.C. very seriously.
