Catherine was invited by the U.S. State Department in 2019 to join its signature International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), whose alumni include many past and current world leaders.

Catherine holds a Master of Arts degree in “Media and Communication” from Goldsmiths College at the University of London, where she focused her research on the impact of geopolitics on international discourse.  A native of Yilan, a scenic region well known for Taiwan’s best whisky, Catherine speaks Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Hokkien and English.
