Chau Dang is an Analyst for The Asia Group (TAG) in Hanoi, Vietnam. In this capacity, she supports the Vietnam Country Team by monitoring Vietnam’s political and economic development, producing policy research, and supporting clients in various sectors.
Before joining TAG, Chau was a research and policy intern at the US-ASEAN Business Council in Washington, DC. She contributed to the Vietnam and Malaysia country portfolios and supported various industry teams, including Health and Life Sciences, Energy, Food and Agriculture, and International Trade. She also participated in the Youth Leadership Cohort hosted by Fulbright University Vietnam and the United States Institute for Peace, researching Vietnamese refugee resettlement and U.S.-Vietnam reconciliation efforts. Chau’s professional engagement deepened her knowledge of Southeast Asia and its industry-specific challenges through high-level engagements between businesses and government ministries.
Chau’s knowledge of East and Southeast Asian foreign affairs is rooted in her upbringing in Hanoi and her academic journey at Denison University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a minor in Piano Music Performance. Outside of work, Chau enjoys painting, dancing, and playing music.
