Chetna is an Associate Vice President with The Asia Group’s South Asia Practice. Based in New Delhi, Chetna brings extensive experience in navigating India’s political and regulatory environment.
Her previous experience includes collaborating closely with senior policymakers in developing legislative initiatives and parliamentary strategy. Her work supported the enactment of key fiscal and legal reforms, with a focus on regulations for emerging technology and digital rights. She has also worked as a consultant for state assembly elections, driving data analysis and rapid response capabilities.
Chetna is an alumnus of the Professional Fellows Program of the US Department of State and the LAMP Fellowship administered by PRS Legislative Research in New Delhi.
Chetna holds an MPP (Masters in Public Policy) from Yale University and an LLM (Master of Laws) from Columbia University. Her graduate work focused on quantitative methods, economic development, and technology policy. She received her legal training at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and is qualified to practice law in India.
She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, and enjoys making time for birdwatching, crosswords, and yoga.
