Dr. Fatima Al Wari is a Senior Advisor at The Asia Group, where she provides strategic counsel on engagement with the United Arab Emirates government and broader stakeholder landscape. Drawing on her experience across government policymaking, strategic communications, education, and workforce development, she advises clients on navigating the UAE’s institutional environment, building effective partnerships, and advancing their strategic priorities in the market.
Dr. Al Wari has extensive experience developing and advancing national-level policy initiatives in the UAE. At the UAE Ministry of Economy, she helped shape the national strategy for entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises and developed policies and programs to strengthen the country’s startup ecosystem. She also supported the design and launch of the National Programme for Advanced Skills, leading communications and outreach and contributing to the initiative’s partnership with the World Economic Forum. At the Education and Human Resources Council, she conducted research on the development of the UAE’s education and labor market sectors.
In addition to her role at TAG, Dr. Al Wari serves as General Manager for Stakeholder Engagement and Communications at VFS Global and as a Communication and Outreach Advisor at the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) Middle East. She also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Formative Design in Learning.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Al Wari was a Senior Consultant in corporate communications for the Knowledge Fund Establishment in Dubai. She also taught at the American University of Sharjah, Zayed University, and University College London. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Science from University College London’s Institute of Education, an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Mass Communication from the American University of Sharjah. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
