Jaehyoung Ju is a Korea Analyst at The Asia Group where he conducts in-depth research and nuanced analysis on the political, economic, and security dynamics of the Korean Peninsula.
Prior to joining TAG, Jaehyoung was a research assistant for the Special Competitive Studies Project, focusing on emerging technologies and their impact on defense strategy in the Indo-Pacific. Jaehyoung also worked at the Korea Economic Institute of America, contributing to projects on U.S.-ROK economic security initiatives in electric vehicles and shipbuilding. Beyond the Korean Peninsula, Jaehyoung gained broader Indo-Pacific experience through his internship at the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council, where he analyzed defense trends in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Jaehyoung graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a Master of Arts in International Relations, assuming extracurricular roles, including Public Service Fellow, Emerging Technologies Junior Fellow, and Munich Security Conference Junior Ambassador. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and East Asian Studies from New York University.
