Jonah Lefkoe is a Vice President in The Asia Group’s China Practice, where he helps clients navigate complex commercial, political, and economic developments in China and across the Indo-Pacific.
Before joining The Asia Group, Jonah was a Yenching Scholar at Peking University (PKU), where he studied at the Guanghua School of Management and PKU Law School. His dissertation focused on China’s economic statecraft and growing leadership in international financial governance.
Jonah’s professional background in policy, business, and international relations includes research and analysis experience with APCO Shanghai, the Urban Institute Center on International Development and Governance, the Ohio Democratic Party, and in the U.S. Senate. Jonah also conducted field work with an NGO in Himachal Pradesh, India.
Jonah graduated from Harvard University cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in History and East Asian Studies. In addition to his academic work at Peking University, Jonah studied Mandarin Chinese intensively at Beijing Language and Culture University and is proficient in the language.
