Kamiryn Rose-Weinberg is an Associate with The Asia Group’s Research and Analytics Team. She serves as contributing author and graphic design lead behind The Daily Asia, TAG’s daily client bulletin, as well as the firm’s rapid-response Instant Insight memos and other advisory products that help clients make informed, data-driven decisions on Indo-Pacific risk. She also aids the firm’s digital communication efforts, monitoring readership metrics and conducting media analyses.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Kamiryn worked with the World Bank’s Japanese Executive Director’s Office where she monitored and advised on Indo-Pacific multilateral strategy. Additionally, she worked with the World Bank’s Development Economics, Data Development Group (DEC-DDG) writing public-facing articles on World Bank Development Indicators (WDIs). In 2023 she worked in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with development firm Causal Design as a Summer Research Fellow. There, she conducted field research, surveying remote populations with the aim of increasing healthcare access in Cambodia’s rural provinces.
Kamiryn holds a Master of International Development Policy from the McCourt School at Georgetown University. She focused her graduate research on improving health outcomes in Central Asia through collaborative governance in the agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors. A Southern California native, she received her Bachelor of Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, specializing in International Relations with a regional focus on East Asia. Her bachelor’s thesis monitored Pan-Asian legislative responses to the COVID-19 virus, advising on policy replicability in United States. Throughout her global health research, Kamiryn developed a passion for fitness and nutrition; she enjoys staying active and cooking often. She is proficient in Japanese and studying Mandarin.
