Khanh Trinh is an Associate at The Asia Group, based in Hanoi, where he monitors Vietnam’s political and economic developments, conducts policy research, and supports clients across a range of sectors.
Before joining TAG, Khanh worked at a consulting firm focused on government advisory and engagement with key stakeholders in the energy sector. He also worked with the UNDP to promote responsible business practices in Vietnam in collaboration with government partners. Earlier in his career, he was a researcher at the ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, co-authoring work on Vietnam’s consumer finance market, including digital credit scoring, lending apps, and financial inclusion.
Khanh holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Trade and Finance from the Geneva Graduate Institute, where his dissertation examined Vietnam’s power sector energy transition, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Leiden University. He is bilingual in Vietnamese and English and is also proficient in French. Outside of work, Khanh is an avid home cook and gardener and enjoys spending time outdoors whenever he can.
