Laura Booth is an Associate General Counsel at The Asia Group. In this role, Laura provides legal counsel on a diverse range of topics and advises on managing legal risks. With experience in the private and public sector, Laurahas a track record of helping clients navigate high-stress, high-stakes, and complex matters.
Prior to joining TAG, Laura served in various roles across government, including as a Senior Counsel at the Department of Education, Associate Counsel in the White House Counsel’s Office, and Special Advisor and Counsel to the General Counsel at USAID. In these roles, Laura serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and provided strategic counsel on significant legal, political, and optics risk and opportunities. Laura began her legal career at Latham & Watkins LLP. As a Corporate Associate, Laura’s practice included capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and board advisory matters.
Laura earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. Laura lives in Capitol Hill, but you can find her most weekends exploring Shenandoah or Rock Creek Park with her dog, Blue
