Mehulika Sitepu is an Associate Vice President at The Asia Group’s Southeast Asia practice, where she supports clients navigating the region’s complex political and regulatory environments to build business strategies across a variety of sectors, including banking and finance, hospitality, manufacturing, and technology.
With almost a decade’s experience as a journalist in Indonesia, including three years in a senior role at BBC News, Mehu has a strong knowledge of Southeast Asia and a far-reaching network of contacts. She interviewed high-level figures, including the Indonesian president, ministers and business leaders. She maintained close relations with Indonesian and foreign firms during her three years as a member of the executive committee of the Jakarta Foreign Correspondents’ Club.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Mehu earned a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Indonesia’s School of Business. Bilingual in Indonesian and English, Mehu first developed her interest in English from watching Seinfeld and listening to 90s Britpop bands.
