Olivia received an MA in Security Studies, with a concentration in military operations, at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in May 2024. Olivia graduated cum laude from Roanoke College with a BA in History, focused primarily on East Asia, as well as a BA in International Relations. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on the evolution of Sino-American relations and the comparison democratic systems. Currently, Olivia’s defense interests include deepening regional alliances and partnerships – especially the AUKUS trilateral partnership – naval warfare and platforms, ethnic conflict and civil war, irregular warfare, and global supply chain developments. Olivia is also interested in the study of drone warfare, unmanned systems, and how autonomous systems will impact the future of conflict. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys strength-training, playing on recreational sports teams, and learning piano.
