Pratistha Rijal


Pratistha Rijal is an Associate at The Asia Group, where she works with the firm’s South Asia Practice. Pratistha supports client needs by tracking and analyzing policy developments across South Asia in various sectors, including logistics and technology.

Before joining The Asia Group, Pratistha worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Diana Kim, conducting research on untouchability in Nepal and Pakistan. Previously, Pratistha was a Freelance Contributor for the Nepali Times, covering issues pertaining to Nepal’s political and social landscape. Through her earlier role as assistant to documentary filmmaker Subina Shrestha, Pratistha conducted research on and extensively translated stories about gender-based violence during the Nepali Civil War.

Pratistha holds a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (SFS). At SFS, her regional focus was South Asia. She graduated from Carleton College with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.

Pratistha was born and raised in Kathmandu. She is fluent in Nepali and proficient in Hindi.
