Raveesh Malik is an Associate with The Asia Group’s New Delhi office, where he supports clients across the Life Sciences domain. Prior to joining The Asia Group, Raveesh worked under the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative across two key institutions: Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) and Invest India. At both these organizations, he served as a bridge between government, industry, and academia to strengthen India’s life sciences and biotechnology ecosystem.
Raveesh has assisted both international and domestic businesses with expansion in India, for evaluating sectoral investment opportunities, navigating regulatory requirements, and mobilizing supply chains. Additionally, he has collaborated closely with the federal and state governments on policy development, project planning, and addressing industry challenges to promote investment and innovation. His insights into India’s life sciences and investment environment are referenced in What the West Should Learn from India (2024) by Walter J. Lindner, former German Ambassador to India.
Raveesh holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology and is based in New Delhi. He maintains a strong interest in genetic research and the evolving ethical and strategic implications of advancements in biotechnology and closely follows discourse in the field. Outside of work, he volunteers with a non-profit focused on rare cancer awareness and advocacy. An avid reader, he practices boxing and enjoys painting in his personal time.
