Robin Huang is an Associate at The Asia Group’s Southeast Asia Practice. Based in Washington, DC, Robin helps clients navigate the political and economic environment in maritime Southeast Asia across a wide array of sectors. Robin draws from her extensive experience in government, the private sector, and civil society to support clients’ goals.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Robin supported business development at the US-ASEAN Business Council, alongside its food and agriculture and supply chains industry teams. Her public service experience includes internships with the White House, where she supported crafting and executing policies pertaining to global gender issues; and the U.S. Agency for International Development, where she supported public-private partnerships worldwide to achieve development objectives. Robin also contributed to research at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) on supply chain issues in China. She previously interned with the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE), a women’s rights and gender equality nonprofit organization based in Singapore.
Robin holds an MA in Asian Studies and a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is an avid reader.
