Uzair Younus is Chief Product Officer at TAG AI, The Asia Group’s artificial intelligence-enabled platform. In this role, he shapes the vision and execution of TAG AI’s product and technology strategy, building cutting-edge tools that fuse large language models with The Asia Group’s deep geopolitical expertise. Uzair leads the design of AI systems that transform unstructured data and proprietary insights into actionable intelligence – helping clients anticipate policy shifts, decode regulatory risk, and seize opportunity in fast-moving, high-stakes markets through a data-driven approach.
Uzair also brings deep expertise in South Asia to the platform’s offerings, with a particular focus on the region’s political economy and digital policy landscape. Additionally, Uzair co-chairs The Asia Group’s Digital Practice.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Uzair served as Director of the Pakistan Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center, where he built a widely respected research program focused on Pakistan’s political economy and the country’s growing technology and startup ecosystem. He has also previously worked at Dhamiri, where he supported companies aligning business goals with public good outcomes, and at the Albright Stonebridge Group, where he helped multinational clients develop long-term growth strategies in South Asia.
Uzair regularly contributes to publications such as Dawn and The Diplomat, and has been featured in Bloomberg, CNN, and CNBC. He holds a BS in economics and finance from Bentley University and an MA in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University. He played in the Washington Cricket League and is also a part-time chef.
