Yeon Jun (Sam) Choi is an Analyst at The Asia Group, where he supports the Korea Country Team with cross-sectoral policy monitoring, political and economic analysis, regulatory landscape analysis and client servicing.
Prior to joining The Asia Group, Sam was a Strategy Analyst at LG CNS America. In this role, he was a key member of the New Business Unit and M&A Task Force where he supported market entry strategies and buy-side due diligence. His work spanned high-growth sectors including Smart City initiatives, Enterprise Solutions, and Public DX. Earlier in his career, Sam served as a Private Equity Intern at Newlake Alliance Management, where he conducted quantitative research and supported financial valuations for the healthcare industry.
Sam holds a BA in Economics from New York University, where he was a Dean’s List recipient. Having been raised in the New York and New Jersey area before recently returning to South Korea, Sam brings a nuanced cross-cultural perspective to the firm’s regional engagements. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, snowboarding, pickleball, and treasures time spent with friends and family.
