Olivia Camillo is a Senior Associate in The Asia Group’s Defense & National Security Practice, where she provides strategic and operational support to defense customers navigating the complexities of the AUKUS Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 landscapes. Olivia has coordinated high-level AUKUS industry roundtables with senior Australian and UK officials and has traveled to Australia to deepen her understanding of Australia’s defense ecosystem and submarine industrial base. Building on this experience, she has supported customers in assessing opportunities in areas like maritime autonomy, information sharing, and hypersonics. She joined TAG as an Analyst in July 2023.
Prior to joining TAG, Olivia served as a congressional staffer, most recently as a Research Assistant for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee. She also worked in the offices of Senators Richard Burr, Mark Warner, Kelly Loeffler, and the late Johnny Isakson. Olivia holds an M.A. in Security Studies with a concentration in military operations from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She graduated cum laude from Roanoke College with B.A.s in History and International Relations, with a focus on Sino-American relations, ideology, and democratization. Her professional interests include allied defense cooperation, defense industrial base resilience, naval strategy, and emerging technologies. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys traveling, hiking, and playing on recreational sports teams.
