The Asia Group Welcomes Ashok Malik as Partner and Chair of India Subsidiary

A native of New Delhi, Ashok has been a keen observer of India’s political and economic landscape for over three decades, spanning careers in government, academia, and thought leadership. Over the last three years, he served as a Policy Advisor with the rank of Additional Secretary at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, where he closely worked with the External Affairs Minister and other senior leadership. Prior to this role, he served as Press Secretary to the 14th President of India, Ram Nath Kovind. Before joining the government, Ashok was a Distinguished Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, one of India’s preeminent think-tanks, where he analyzed India’s foreign policy and political economy. For nearly two decades, Ashok also had a distinguished career as a writer and editor at The Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Indian Express and numerous other leading Indian publications.
