The Asia Group Announces George Chen as Partner

Washington, DC & Hong Kong | July 1, 2025 – The Asia Group (TAG) is excited to announce the promotion of George Chen to Partner. In this capacity, Chen will continue to both lead TAG’s Hong Kong and Taipei offices and serve as Co-Chair of TAG’s Digital Practice. Chen’s elevation demonstrates TAG’s steadfast commitment to combining top-tier global perspective with pan-regional insights to deliver strategic, market-relevant solutions for clients operating in the Indo-Pacific region.

Chen is a respected practitioner and expert with over two decades of experience across media, technology, and public policy. He specializes in advising Fortune 500 clients on geopolitics and complex regulatory issues. Before joining TAG, Chen was Managing Director for Public Policy at Meta, overseeing Greater China and other markets in Asia. He also brings extensive experience in media, including serving as the South China Morning Post’s youngest-ever managing editor. Chen was a 2022 recipient of Mongolia’s “Medal of Friendship”, one of the country’s highest presidential honors for foreigners.
